I'm staying in Porto all August long and I would like to go some trout spinnfishing since I heard that there are some good places to fish near porto so please help me with some information or give me a link or e-mail of someone who can help me with this!?

Hi Miran,
there's a place called, 'Baragem Do Lindoso Em Ponte Da Barca'. this is north of Porto around 131k or 1.5hrs away which is is excellent for trout. Go NORTH from Porto on the A3 and when you hi the N203 head EAST adjacent to the River until you hit Ponte Da Barca. Had a mate fish it a couple of years ago he said it was great. Closer to you though is the Rio Caldo just north of Braga, meant to be beautiful, about an hour away. I know there is one that runs straight through Porto but sorry i know nothing about it. Hi Miran

there's plenty oo good trout fishing in northern Portugal (near Porto), however none in the south just Black bass lakes.

The Douro River itself has lovely trout fishing and you may also fish for a barbel with a fly up there, the wine is good too.
