Carp & Barbel fishing here in Portugal is getting more and more frequent. Unlike the waters of the UK, these waters have hardly been touched. I would even go so far as to say, 'some waters here have never been fished'!
There are many rivers and lakes here holding some quality fish, main species being the fantastic common carp with it's close reletive the 'Wildy,' and several species of Barbel from the European to the great 'Camizo'. We are now getting more and more clients from the UKdesperate to land their record barbel and where else better to do it as
the perfect weather conditions here suit both barbel and carp! Choosing Portugal as your new fishing destination is probably one of the easiest choices you can make when looking for excellent fishing conditions. Unlike our other European waters we have fantastic fishing conditions 365days of the year. So when thinking of where to go for your winter fishing trip, give us a thoguht, as where we are we never see snow or ice. A fantastic break from the English weather conditions!

"Many thanks to Dave, who was a great guide.
Always willing to share ideas and
try new things to get onto the fish and generous enought to
make sure I had the
best peg. Without his help I would
never have landed my new PB. Many thanks and

A choice of pole fishing as well as tip, method or carp set up is on offer. As you can see from the pictures, these pole fish are as good as you can get anywhere in the world and what fantastic sport. I have had many sessions on one of our local lakes with bags pushing over 200lb in a five hour session on the pole, and they just keep coming. Bags of mirrror carp, common carp and barbel all excellent fish on the pole.
